S21 hidden features

The Galaxy S21(s21 hidden features) was designed to be one of the most capable Android phones available in 2021, yet it’s easy to overlook some of its best features with so much to offer. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has spent a lot of time on Samsung smartphones(s21 hidden features) over the years. As good as Samsung’s panels, cameras, and other products are, the company has long suffered from overcrowding its software experience.

It is an area where Samsung has made significant progress in recent years, particularly since its switch to its One UI Android overlay in 2018. One UI, in particular, stood out as a turning point in Samsung’s user experience, with the company reducing unnecessary clutter, making menus and settings easier to traverse, and rethinking various areas of its UX to make it easier to operate with one hand. While some of that simplicity has been lost over time, the newest One UI 3.1 software is still a terrific product.

While One UI 3.1 isn’t a giant leap ahead from prior One UI versions, it can be intimidating for those who haven’t used a Samsung phone in a while or are using the S21 as their first Galaxy. Specific characteristics are apparent and easy to spot, while others are hidden. Here are five of the best Galaxy S21 features that aren’t widely known yet are indispensable.

s21 has some features that you don’t know about, like how it

Improve your screenshots.

Samsung’s Edge panels, which tuck away shortcuts to programs, features, and information, are found on every Galaxy S21. A somewhat fine line may have appeared along the right-hand side of your S21’s screen. You can get to the hidden panels from there. One of the screenshot panels is disabled by default.

It’s one of the most valuable panels because it allows you to do more than capturing your screen. Smart Select is the name of the panel, and it will enable you to capture just a piece of your screen using the rectangle or oval, record an animated image (or GIF), or pin a screenshot to your screen possibly with a phone number or address.

Go to Settings > Display > Edge Panels > Panels and tap on the circle above Smart choose to enable the Smart Capture panel. To capture a screenshot in the future, open the Edge panel and swipe between the meetings you’ve added until you locate wise choose, then select the tool you wish to use.

Support for the S-Pen on the S21 Ultra

It isn’t so much a hidden feature as it is a feature that isn’t readily apparent unless you’ve been told about it. The S21 Ultra, unlike the Note series, does not have a place to put the S Pen. You wouldn’t know any better if you bought the phone because you wanted the best Samsung had to offer.

Any S-Pen stylus from the Galaxy Note or Galaxy Tab S series will operate with the S21 Ultra. You can also choose the S21 Ultra case, an S Pen.

If you have an S Pen, all you have to do to use it with the Ultra is touch its tip to the screen, and it should work automatically. If you hold the pen just above the screen’s surface, you’ll see a small icon on the screen indicating that the stylus has been detected. The Air Command icon will appear when you tap it on the screen, allowing you to capture quick notes, screenshots, and so on.

How to switch off the S21

If you anticipate turning the phone off by long-pressing the power button, you’re in for a rude awakening. To be precise, a Bixby surprise. That’s correct; instead of offering you the option to switch off the phone, holding down the power button will activate Bixby. But don’t worry, you have a few alternatives for shutting down or restarting your S21:

  1. To access the fast settings panel, swipe down from the top of the screen, then hit the power button in the top-right corner.
  2. Long press the side and volume down buttons simultaneously until the power menu appears.
  3. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Side key and select Power off-menu to make the side button work as a power button. Long-pressing the power button will bring up the power menu from now on.

Widgets for locking the screen

My favorite feature on Samsung’s phones is the Always On Display. It allows you to access information or manage audio playing rapidly, but the Galaxy S21 will enable you to do considerably more. You may switch on each widget you want to utilize and Show it on Always On Display by going to Settings > Lock screen > Widgets. Double-tap the clock whenever your phone is locked, and the AOD is active to see all of your widgets.

Make your video calls more interesting by adding effects.

Have you ever seen someone on Zoom using those gorgeous backgrounds? The ones that make it appear as if you’re in another place? You can do just that in your video calls on the Galaxy S21. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Video call effects to choose your impact. Please turn it on, then choose whether you want your background to be blurred entirely, a specific color, or an image from your photographs.

Activate floating notifications for quick access to reports.

Google’s new Bubbles notification feature debuted with Android 11, and it looks and functions similarly to Facebook Messenger’s Chat heads feature. Instead of having to swipe down the notification panel to see alerts, a hovering circle provides constant access to your discussions. Bubbles work similarly for a broader range of apps, including Google Messages.

Bubbles join Samsung’s Smart pop-up view, which is a similar function. However, before you can use either, you must first activate it.

Floating notifications may be found in Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Floating notifications. Please choose your preferred choice; each has a brief animation on the screen to demonstrate how they work. Experiment with both Bubbles and the Smart pop-up function to see which you prefer, even if you don’t like them both.

On your phone, look for anything.

Are you having problems locating a specific program, contact, or file? Swipe down from the top of the screen to check the quick settings shortcut panel, then swipe down again to see the complete quick settings panel. Type your query into the search box at the top of the screen.
